The beautiful Cuban is exhausted. In the Vieja district of Havana, it's very hot this early afternoon, but we have to fix it. The light is harsh, the colors bright on the red sheet metal of this American car from the 50s.

The drawing is based on study sketches brought back from a trip. The image is constructed to reveal the process of construction of the image: on the left the traces of the construction of the sketch with graphite pencil, then progressively towards the right, only the touches of colour with gouache express the modelling of the scene.

Fine gouache on Arches watercolor paper 300 gr.m. Protective matte varnish. Mention of the place Habana Vieja in pencil below the drawing. Signature of the author and possible dedication on the back of the work.
